STIEBEL ELTRON, a heritage-filled company from Lower Saxony, is a provider of expertise and service for home technology – a maker of products that are excellent, though rarely emotionally touching.
Why not make them a bit more sentimental? After all, anyone who’s ever built or renovated knows how much of an emotional roller coaster the process is.
There’s the challenge of weighing up all the options and enduring the trouble and issues involved. Often, you end up feeling like you’re on the brink of losing your mind. This brink is exactly where we step in with a digital campaign for our client of many years, STIEBEL ELTRON. In this emotional advertisement, we build on the emotional ups and downs involved with building a house – told using imagery of elaborate, captioned room installations.
The emotion-charged campaign reminds viewers of their own childhood. Even at that young age, people know intuitively what they need to feel at comfort. They build their own little houses, using chairs, blankets, and pillows to create warmth and shelter. As time goes by, the huts of childhood grow into the construction projects of adults. Instead of blankets and pillows, they use STIEBEL ELTRON home technology and renewable energy to build their “comfortable homes”. After all, it’s the heat pumps, boilers, ventilation systems, and all the rest that make home living truly comfortable.
The core idea behind the campaign was developed in partnership with STIEBEL ELTRON. The film, which is mainly watched on YouTube and Facebook, was produced by Studio Seidel in Munich – accompanied by a package of matching advertising banners for additional website traffic. denkwerk took complete charge of its digital realization and media placement.
