How do we know if we as a design team can really make a difference in our daily work? What impact potential does design have for the success of digital products and services? Lukas Böhle (Head of UX in Magenta Business at Deutsche Telekom) discusses these and other questions together with Susanne Junglas and Sandra Griffel (both Experience Design Director at denkwerk) in our LinkedIn Live event.
In doing so, we take a holistic perspective. All effects in all relevant areas come into focus. Needs, usage occasions and contexts are illuminated as well as attractiveness, trust and likeability.
In addition, there is the topic of business impact: we discuss which factors and very specific design decisions (also) determine whether business goals are achieved, sales generated or costs saved.
Finally - and this is new - the focus will also be on how digital products and services can be successful in the long term. The key here is to consider the positive impact on society and the environment, such as resource conservation.
Together, we will take a look at how we can not only measure and drive the positive impact of design in all these areas, but how the contribution that design makes can also find its way into decision-making levels and be made visible.
As Head of UX, Lukas Böhle focuses on the interplay between customer needs, strategic planning and operational excellence. The implementation of design methodology in the company's value creation plays a central role. Since 2019, he has been responsible for the user experience for the digital transformation of Telekom Deutschland's B2B business in the agile "Magenta Business" tribe.
